Our editorial standards

Every page is built to help a reader see what the Bible records, what requires interpretation, and what comes from later sources.

  1. 01

    Context before fragments

We read a verse within its passage and introduce the people, place, and question a reader needs before the story begins.

  2. 02

    The text before explanation

The biblical account leads the writing. Explanations support the story without taking its place.

  3. 03

    Inferences clearly marked

When the text does not state a motive or detail, we do not fill the gap as though it were recorded fact.

  4. 04

    Corrections stay open

Readers can report wording, references, or distinctions that need another review.
