An Aramaic expression about the Lord’s coming, read as a prayer or a declaration.
What it means
It appears in the Greek text at the end of 1 Corinthians 16. Depending on how the words are divided, it can be read as a request for our Lord to come or a declaration that our Lord has come.
How it appears in the Bible
The World English Bible renders it as a request for the Lord to come in 1 Corinthians 16:22. Revelation 22:20 contains a similar prayer for Jesus’ coming.
