Proselyte

A person of non-Jewish origin who formally joined the Jewish faith community.

What it means

In New Testament usage, a proselyte had moved beyond sympathy with Jewish worship to identified membership in the community.

Proselytes appear among Pentecost pilgrims, and Nicolas of Antioch is specifically identified as a proselyte before becoming a church servant.
