Abba
An Aramaic form of address for a father.
What it means
In Mark 14, Jesus uses Abba together with Father when praying in Gethsemane. Romans 8 and Galatians 4 also preserve the word and its meaning, Father.
How it appears in the Bible
Paul uses this address to describe believers calling God Father through the Spirit, as people received as God’s children.
