Anointing Oil
Oil used to consecrate people and objects for sacred service.

What it means
Exodus gives a special aromatic formula for the sanctuary’s holy anointing oil and restricts ordinary use of it.
Moses used it for the tabernacle and priests, while prophets also anointed kings with oil.
How it appears in the Bible
Samuel anointed David, and the narrative connects the act with the Spirit of the Lord coming upon him.
