Bronze Laver
A bronze basin used by priests for ritual washing.

What it means
The tabernacle basin stood between the tent of meeting and the altar and held water.
Aaron and his sons washed their hands and feet from it before entering the tent or approaching the altar.
How it appears in the Bible
Solomon’s temple later included a much larger bronze basin, often called the Sea.
Translation note
“Laver” is an older English word for a washing basin.
