What it means
Ezekiel 45 makes the bath equal in capacity to the ephah, with each measuring one tenth of a homer. The bath also appears in the rule for the offering of oil.
In 1 Kings 7, the large cast sea is a round basin standing on twelve oxen. Its capacity is given as two thousand baths.
How it appears in the Bible
Isaiah 5 warns people who accumulate houses and fields at others’ expense. It describes a vineyard yielding only one bath, using the liquid measure to express a meager harvest.
